Damned if I do and damned if I dont!

I have been thinking about going back to work for some time now, so when I actually went for a job interview I was stunned by the way people reacted when I mentioned I would put LS childcare while I was at work? I thought had literally said "I would leave her at home alone".

They made me feel like such a bad person..no a bad mum for even suggesting I leave my 2year old with trained professionals for a few hours a day while I work.Now I feel awful about even thinking about working.

And you know what makes it worse? The fact that when people know that I'm a stay at home mum they judge me again, thinking as I'm young I must be a lazy women who sits at home watching Jeremy Kyle all day!!!

I know I shouldn't let other people opinions bother me but when I feel like my parenting is being questioned I feel so awful, I'm a good mum, I have my sisters to thanks for that but now I feel like I'm just going to be judged more for actually wanting to provide for my daughter!

What I really want to know if what do you think?

2011!!

Hello 2011!!




I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year!



For some reason I am VERY excited about this year! I don’t know whether its because I am becoming an Auntie for the second time or something else all I know is it feels like a good year!



As I said 2011 will see me becoming a auntie for the second time, but I will also be 21, my daughter will be 2 and starting nursery and growing into a completely different little girl!

Christmas Countdown!!!

The last time I wrote about Christmas we had 39 days left to go, I can happily say that we now only


have 5 days to go!! Woo hoo!



The last 5 days before Christmas is always the best! All the kids have broken up from school and people are starting to finish work and most people are happier, well I say most people. You have all the rubbish but great films on telly and you can always find someone singing a Christmas song so how can you not like it?



I can safely say that I have almost completed my Christmas shopping, and I have even done all of the partners shopping, we just have odd bits to get and food (god help us). Even better then that is the fact that all my wrapping is done! Usually I find myself wrapping all day on Christmas eve and have a bad back all day Christmas, but I have truly outdone myself this year, A little bit of planning goes along way!



We aren’t putting the presents under the tree until LS is in bed on Christmas eve as we want to give her a big surprise! I cant wait until she can really understand and we can tell her about Santa and see her get all excited in the belief of Santa! I am really excited!



Can you remember when you believed in Santa? No I cant either! 



It also looks like we might be having a white Christmas this year, we have have had some snow, we made a snowman!

The Cheeky Stage

Ok so I think its fair to say that LS has made it to the cheeky 18months stage (this I have created myself).
I know kids can be cheeky but how can a 17month do it? They don’t really understand what cheeky is do they? Well I must say LS is extremely good at it and that is the problem. If you tell her off she decides that if she is facing you she will just stare you straight in the face with a confused face which I must be completely honest is hilarious and you always end up laughing, her grandparents haven given up on telling her off as they ALWAYS laugh!

Is being cheeky a new stage of development?

Well I find it hard to tell LS off in any case because as silly as it sounds how do you punish a 17month old? Really? LS just laughs everything off, you shout…she smiles, you tap her hand she smiles, you slap her bum …yeah you get it she smiles! So how can you tell her off?? Does anyone else have this problem?? LS is too clever her own good!!
